This is a little cafe in one of the residential areas of Phú Mỹ Hưng, and it does seem like there are quite a few locals who dine here.

Despite its name, it does have a wide variety of food - ranging from donburi to pasta, and of course, there are your typical brunch dishes.

We ordered the Salmon Okonomiyaki Benedict and this English Breakfast, along with their Laluna Cloudy Latte and Matcha Cold Drip. We also ordered a side of Butter Grilled Corn. The food came out quickly, so there were no issues there.

The English Breakfast was pretty good, though the garlic somewhat overpowered the tomatos - it would have been better if the garlic had been cooked more thoroughly, as its relative rawness really conflicted with the tomato. Otherwise as you can see, the portion is very small, but at least the price is not too bad especially given the location (Phú Mỹ Hưng), so bang for buck is... alright.

The Salmon Okonomiyaki Benedict was quite weird, however, not really a suitable mix - the okonomiyaki concept doesn't work with the benedict concept. The okonomiyaki overwhelmed the salmon and significantly reduced all the best that a benedict has to offer. It was more like a weird okonomiyaki with some bread and vegetables randomly tossed in for no good reason.

Both drinks were alright - nothing exceptional, especially the matcha cold drip - not enough coffee to actually influence the total flavor significantly. I have had matcha + coffee mixes before, and comparing to the best I had, the matcha cold drip here is about a 2/10 in terms of uniqueness. It is still a nice drink, just not what a matcha / coffee blend is supposed to be. The Laluna Cloudy Latte tastes just like a normal latte - if you are going to dine here, just order a normal latte.

The Butter Grilled Corn was okay - definitely not bad at all, but nothing that accentuates it beyond what you would taste if you would grill the corn at home.

Overall, Laluna Cafe & Lunch is a place I can go to if others want to go there, but I would not eat here out of my own volition.
